Six principles to get consistently better results from every Gemini interaction.
Instead of "write about AI," say "Write a 200-word summary of how generative AI is changing undergraduate teaching, focusing on assessment and academic integrity."
Start with "Act as an academic advisor at a large public university" to get responses tailored to your role and context.
Specify format: "Present this as a bullet-point list," "Create a table comparing X and Y," or "Write this as an executive summary with headers."
Don't settle for the first response. Follow up with "Make it more concise," "Add specific metrics," or "Rewrite for a non-technical audience."
Upload files or paste in the data you are working from. The more context Gemini has, the better the output.
Break complex tasks into steps: first research, then analyze, then draft, then refine. Each step builds on the previous conversation context.
Ready-to-use prompts for Gemini Chat, Deep Research, NotebookLM, and custom agents.
Personalized BGR day-plan questions for students, plus general-purpose prompts for the main chat interface.
For comprehensive, multi-source analysis. Deep Research autonomously searches dozens of sources and produces cited reports.
Upload your own sources and get grounded answers — no hallucination. Use Studio to generate podcast-style Audio Overviews. Share notebooks with collaborators just like a Google Doc.
Build AI assistants with Agent Designer — no coding required. Agents can be shared with your team and scheduled to run automatically on a recurring basis.
Quick answers to common questions about Gemini Enterprise.
Usage limits and technical specifications for your environment. All quotas below are pooled across the organization.
Pooled quotas are shared across your entire organization rather than allocated per user. With 250 licenses, capacity is calculated as:
Per-user limit × 250 licenses = Total organizational pool
For example, if image generation allows 5 images/day per user, the org pool is 1,250 images/day shared across all users. Some users may generate more on a given day as long as the total pool isn’t exhausted. Fair-use policies apply.
| Feature | Limit |
|---|---|
| Notebooks | 500 per user |
| Sources per notebook | 300 per notebook |
| Source size | 200 MB or 500,000 words |
| Queries | 500 per user / day |
| YouTube transcript size | 500,000 words |
| Audio Overviews | 20 per user / day |
| Video Overviews | 20 per user / day |
| Slide Decks | 15 per user / day |
| Infographics | 15 per user / day |
| Feature | Limit | Details |
|---|---|---|
| Image Generation | 5 images / user / day | Organization-wide pool of 1,250 images/day (5 × 250 licenses). Fair-use policies apply. |
| Video Generation | Up to 8 seconds | Generates short cinematic clips in 4, 6, or 8-second durations. (Uploading a reference image to animate defaults to 8 seconds). |
| File Upload | 50 MB per file | Standard prompt attachment limit. Workspace and NotebookLM integrations may differ. |
If you hit a limit, it will reset the following day. For questions about quota usage or capacity adjustments, please get in touch with the support team.
